The a business kit in Spain is regulated by Royal Decree 486/1997, the 14 April a protocol that establishes minimum safety and health in workplaces, and citing as the existence and enforceable provision of material first aid for injured workers.
The Annex VI refers to locals and first aid materials. This provision is applicable to all workplaces first used after the entry into force of Royal Decree and also affects extensions, modifications and transformations of any local established before the entry into force but which have been conducted immediately after the same. The annex is divided into the following sections are summarized below:
- In case of accident, workplaces must have first aid material in sufficient quantity to cover the number of employees of the company and the risks they are or may be exposed. This material was adapted to the professional responsibilities for their provision of personnel.
- The distribution and status of the material must ensure their accessibility to a fast.
- Every workplace should have at least one portable kit containing the following:approved disinfectants and antiseptics, sale,tape,sterile gauze,absorbent cotton, Ashes dressings, tweezers, scissors and disposable gloves.
- The material is reviewed periodically and will be replenished as soon as expired or will make use of it.
- If the workplace has more than 50 workers, must have a room for first aid. If they were 25 Workers also must have the same, although here we shall give its approval by the labor authority, since they depend on the activity or the nearest medical assistance.
- The local first aid must have at least one kit, a table and a source of drinking water.
- Both locally and first aid must be well marked.
In workplaces that existed before the entry into force of Royal Decree shall apply to all sections except 5 and 6, except for the above reasons.
Composition of the kit business and sports centers
The frequency of accidents at the enterprise level is high since the occupational hazard exists everywhere. Depending on the number of workers or activity to develop in the environment, there is always a certain condition for first aid. Indeed, even in large companies there are health professionals to deal with such situations and are trained to work in emergency operations or manage certain type of drugs ( medical department, treatment room, kit, …).
The composition of the kit will depend, as always, the needs of the environment and can even vary during the course of time. Usually, this is a standard list to consider:

Priority Emergency Medication (under strict use of healthcare professionals)
- Adrenaline injection
- Methylprednisolone injection
- Insulin Injection
- Dextrose 5% (distilled water or saline)
- Sublingual nitroglycerin
- Active carbon
- Oxygen
*They are Required, but must be present when the risk is very high. Treat diseases or serious situations as a state of shock,allergic reaction anaphylactic shock, myocardial infarction or heart problems, respiratory failure, poisoning, diabetic coma.
Supply Kits for Business
Under Article 1 of The words TAS/2047/2007, the National Institute of Security Social Welfare Institute and the Navy can provide kits with first aid companies whose employees take for protection professional contingencies, getting excluded those companies who do not have their service employees. Also, if a company has more than one workplace, has the right to supply kit in each.
So, and in case of interest, the companies may apply to the managing bodies of Social Security the contents of a kit (this content is reflected in the Royal Decree 486/1997, the 14 April).
This provision by management companies is merely the reinstatement of the acquisition costs the initial purchase del botiquín, including the continent, and replacement, the total partial, its contents, for having used or because it exceeded the Expiration date, to the limit of Total imports that corresponds, by the number of downtown workers.
In brief, requested by the company form the kit to the management body. The company acquires content and container depending on the number of workers you have and, after, the amount claimed for reimbursement. Depending on a set tables (There is a limit of total amount), the managing company will pay for a given partial or total volume.
Annex I – Content and maximum amount to be paid
The request also apply to replacement or expiration of use, deterioration, hurto, theft, fire or other circumstances duly substantiated by complaint or by other document signed by the applicant for reinstatement. Anyway, the managing entity has the right to establish a monitoring and review to verify these actions reset.
How to apply for this refund?
The Accredited Representative the workplace or the company must file application document (Annex II to Annex III or Social Security for the Marine Institute as appropriate) with the document of identity the applicant and the Detailed Billing the material purchased. In the case of more work centers for the same company, also present Annexes IV and V as appropriate.
